I believe we should be sharing what we are working on, even when uncomfortable doing so. Start sharing once problem is identified, see what others are experiencing, don’t wait until a polished solution is crafted - waiting to present a complete solution can create a more complex feedback route. Sharing early and often throughout the process leads to greater feedback and open dialogue. Socialize the problem and bring people along with you while building. There are a few small items (i.e. security, personal information) that shouldn’t be open, but the vast majority of work should and can be done openly.
