Muxing (multiplexing/multiplexer) is a technical term for the ability to send multiple data streams across one connection simultaneously. For example, if your friend has a phone and is texting another person, you can add additional information in front of the text message being sent, such as metadata. Therefore, you can do multiple tasks or operations on that same connection.
