The FVM (Filecoin Virtual Machine) is a flexible and powerful platform that can support a wide range of decentralized applications. Here are some examples of the types of applications that can be built on the FVM: Decentralized storage applications: The FVM can be used to build decentralized storage applications that leverage the storage capabilities of the Filecoin network. These applications can include file sharing platforms, backup services, and content distribution networks. Decentralized finance (DeFi) applications: The FVM can be used to build DeFi applications that enable trustless financial transactions, such as lending and borrowing platforms, decentralized exchanges, and stablecoins. Decentralized applications (DApps): The FVM can be used to build a wide range of decentralized applications, including social networks, gaming platforms, and marketplaces. These applications can leverage the processing power of the Filecoin network and can be built using a variety of programming languages. Data management applications: The FVM can be used to build applications that manage and process large amounts of data in a decentralized and secure manner. These applications can include data analytics platforms, machine learning applications, and artificial intelligence tools. Identity management applications: The FVM can be used to build decentralized identity systems that enable individuals to manage their own identities and control their personal data without the need for a central authority. Overall, the FVM provides a flexible and powerful platform for building decentralized applications that leverage the storage and processing capabilities of the Filecoin network. The possibilities are vast, limited only by the imagination of developers.

Filecoin Virtual Machine is just giving you the ability to build and have perpetual storage. Currently no plans to port Ethereum Name Service or Uniswap but would love to see it happen.
